Overview

The Foundation in Information Technology (FIT) programme from University of Colombo aims at enhancing the literacy and competency in using basic computer applications together with analytical thinking and communicational skills required for school leavers.FIT is pre-degree for students those who don`t possess A/L qualifications to enroll into the Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) programme.

Suitable for

• Schools leavers who don`t possess A/L
• Job seekers who need basic IT literacy

Programme Structure

• FIT 102: ICT Applications
• FIT 202: English for ICT
• FIT 302: Mathematics for ICT

Certification

Awarded by University of Colombo School of Computing.

Assessment Method

E-Test & Practical

FIT for BIT

Students who pass all three e-Tests will be qualified to register for the BIT degree programme However, these students will not receive the final FIT certificate until they successfully complete all FIT practical exams.
