Entry Qualification:

• Teacher’s  in government  or registered private school who wish to be competent in the use of English Language for professional purposes it is assumed that they already have basic knowledge of English and are able to understand simple commands an expressions relating to routine daily activates practiced at home and in school the expected ability level in them is comparable to the GCE (O/l) English Language Standard
• A selection-cum-placement test will be held
• Applicants selected on the basis of the marks obtained at the examination will be assigned to one of the following levels:
  • Part I (preliminary)
  • Part II (Intermediate)
  • Part II (Higher)

• Essentials of English grammar
• Reading and comprehension
• Writing and composition
• Speech practice-everyday situations and professional situations
• Basic terminology I core subject taught in school and their applications and basic of teaching method
