Diploma in English Language and Literature
Objectives
The main focus of this course is to make students and working adults proficient in English language in order to make them successful in their careers, and to enable them to cope up with the modern world.
Entry Requirements
All students must have at least reached the O/L standard to be eligible to apply for this course.
Admission will be issued after a written examination conducted by the Department of English.

Weekday full time course – Three months
Evening and Weekend Courses – Six months

Certificate Level 1, 11 & 111
Tuesday & Thursday 08.30 a.m. – 03.15 p.m.
Wednesday & Friday 08.30 a.m. – 03.15 p.m.
Intermediate & Final Levels
Tuesday to Friday 8.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.
(Final Level Classes: Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 8.30 a.m. – 3.00 p.m.)
Evening Course
Tuesday to Friday 5.30 p.m. – 7.30 p.m.
Weekend Course
Saturdays 8.00 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.
Sundays 8.00a.m. – 10.a.m (Final Level Only)
Course Fees
For Certificate Level I, 11, 111 & Intermediate Levels: LKR 15,000/=
- 1st Payment: LKR.1000/- (To be paid before the Entrance Examination)
- 2nd Payment: LKR.14, 000/- (To be paid before the commencement of Lectures)
For the Final Level LKR 18, 000/=
