Overview

Join with the Flight Operations Officer/Dispatcher programme & gain the prestigious Flight Dispatcher License issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.

This course will equip participants with the following skills and knowledge.

• Latest knowledge and current technological changes in the aviation industry
• Develop a career path leading to a licensed flight dispatcher certificate
• Introduce first level student to the basics of flight operations

The course duration is 01 year with 4 phases.

Phase 1 : 12 weeks of classroom training

Phase 2 : 13 weeks on the job training

Phase 3 : Observation of flight duties

Phase 4 : Observation of a flight simulator session

Course certificates will be awarded to those who successfully complete the examinations and fulfill attendance requirements. The Flight Operations Officer/Dispatcher programme syllabus is approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL)

Note: The training will not guarantee employment within SriLankan Airlines.

Why Study This Subject

On successful completion of the course and on completion of a technical examination conduct by the Civil Aviation Authority Sri Lanka, certificate holders will be qualified to obtain the Flight Dispatcher License issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.

This license is in conformity with the standards of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

NOTE :The said License will be issued only on production of proof of employment in Flight Operations with any airline.

Entry Requirement

• Successful completion of GCE O/L (Local or London) with 6 passes including 4 Credits passes with credit for Mathematics in one sitting and a Credit for English in any sitting and 2 passes at GCE A/L (Local or London), excluding General English.
