The course provides students with the basic skills and technical knowledge to start a career in Interior Design. The focus at this level is on learning the basic skills of drawing, design principles, materials, construction, and the basic principles of design essential for a creative interior designer.

The students are expected to design simple space planning and to produce presentation drawings to represent the integration of forms, space, and functions in relation to the human environment.

Advanced Diploma

Duration:

18 Months (6  Terms)

The course gives students the creative and technical knowledge and skills they need to become professionals in the interior design industry. It encompasses the study of both Interior Architecture & Design content within the built environment, while focusing on the human interface within given spaces.

The emphasis is placed on space planning, creative problem-solving, communication skills and knowledge of building materials, construction, computer aided drafting and the history of design. Students are expected to provide design solutions to a wide variety of complex real-life space problems.

Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) – Final Year – Raffles University

Duration:

15 Months (5 Terms)

Interior designers are able to use their skills to design space and effects range from making a client’s home comfortable to transporting people into another space and era with periodic décor. Professional interior designers are able to draw floor plans, render their ideas in 3D, and make on-the-spot sketches to present their ideas.
Students pursuing their Bachelor of Interior Design will be familiarised with the working life of field professionals through simulated projects and assignments. Lessons will build basics in drawing and design theories. So students will be able to create digital artwork of blueprints, floor plans, and other necessary computer generated imagery.
Graduates will be able to visualise the potential of décor in various spaces, and also know how best to enhance aesthetic and functional elements in the room by playing with lighting, furniture, and other materials.
