Overview of the Degree Programme

Biotechnology is a multidisciplinary field comprising an exciting range of scientific fields such as,molecular biology, genetics, immunology, microbiology, pharmacology, fermentation, agriculture, biochemistry, medical and environmental sciences.

The B.Sc. (Hons) program is an intensive three-year degree program covering 120 credits which will equip undergraduates with vast theory knowledge, first hand practical experience in laboratory as well as in industry and a research project which enable them to excel in their profession with confidence.

This multidisciplinary program also focuses on electives in management, ethics, commercialization, marketing and entrepreneurship paving the pathway to become globally recognized scientists and researchers.

Entry Requirements

Two S passes preferably in Chemistry & Biology (or Physics) in G.C.E. A/L Examination (Local). G.C.E. O/L, A/L done in English medium or band score 5.0 in IELTS.

OR

Two E passes preferably in Chemistry & Biology (or Physics) in G.C.E. A/L Examination (London). G.C.E. O/L, A/L done in English medium or band score 5.0 in IELTS.

OR

Two S passes in Technology stream in Bio-system Technology & Science for Technology (or any other science subject) in G.C.E. A/L Examination (Local). G.C.E. O/L, A/L done in English medium or band score 5.0 in IELTS.
