Course Overview

Aim of the Course

This programme aims to cover several important areas of Software Engineering for absolute beginners such as; basic programing theory, object oriented analysis and design, database design, visual programming and web design and development.

In addition it will also help you to understand project management and quality assurance in software development, which are important functions of any software engineering.

You will gain the ability to meet the needs of the latest trends in the software industry and a broad range of skills for effective participation in a software development team and hence be able to compete effectively for positions in the software industry.

A diverse range of teaching strategies including lectures, tutorials, case studies, portfolio of practical exercises, continuous assessment, group and individual exercises, practical presentations and another methods to achieve the essential learning outcomes.

The learning outcomes of each module are mapped onto computing-related cognitive and practical abilities. These are intended to maximize the diploma student’s ability to solve professional problems using computers. After completion of this program student may able to join with further studies in computing and could directly join with Undergraduate programs and be eligible to receive exemptions.
